Recorded at Soundtrade Studios in Stockholm by producer David Castillo, Progressive Metal captures the depth and control of a purpose-built drum recording environment. The large live room’s near seven-metre ceiling height adds natural space and dynamic range while maintaining tight low-end focus. Careful microphone placement preserves the character of every shell and cymbal in detail, helping the kit respond naturally across different velocities and playing styles. Veteran drum technician Urban Näsvell also tuned every drum before recording, ensuring consistent tone and response throughout the entire library.
