Built for expressive performance
The BU16 Mechanical combines responsive Hall effect switches with pressure and velocity sensitivity, giving you more detailed control than standard button controllers. This makes it particularly useful for finger drumming, triggering samples, launching clips, or performing live arrangements with added expression.
Buttons can also be configured as momentary, two-step, or three-step toggles, encouraging more creative interaction during production and performance. Whether you're controlling a DAW, sampler, or visual software, the layout stays fast, tactile, and easy to navigate.
Customise both feel and function
Hot-swappable Gateron switches and interchangeable keycaps make it simple to adjust the controller to suit your preferences. You can swap switches after removing the front panel, customise layouts for different workflows, or relabel controls more clearly for specific projects. The textured fiberglass front panel also adds a more secure, durable feel during everyday use. Combined with configurable RGB lighting, the BU16 adapts easily to both studio environments and live performance setups.
Clear visual feedback in any setup
Every button includes a dedicated RGB LED indicator that can be adjusted within the Grid Editor software. Assign custom colours, change brightness levels, or add pulse animations to separate controls visually and improve workflow speed.
The included keycaps feature visible cutouts, allowing lighting to remain clearly readable during use. This becomes especially helpful when working in darker studios or on stage, where quick visual reference can make navigation much easier.
Flexible modular control system
The BU16 integrates seamlessly with other Grid controllers using Intech Studio’s magnetic modular connection system. Rearranging modules automatically updates the layout inside the Grid Editor software, helping keep larger controller setups organised.
Each module supports four onboard profile pages that can be accessed directly from the side-mounted utility button, allowing you to switch between configurations quickly. Alongside MIDI control, the BU16 can also function as a HID macro controller for creative workflows such as video editing, visual performance, or graphic design tasks.
