What's new in Pro-Tools

Continuously advancing, Pro Tools 2022.4 brings next-level workflow and advanced tools to help make music creation easier than ever. A myriad of changes has been made to help give you more control over your sessions, including the new Custom Keyboard Shortcuts. These powerful tools help speed up virtually any process within your project. Assign virtually any command to a custom shortcut and browse them in the Shortcuts window. Another workflow improvement with Pro Tools Studio is the Search function. You can now quickly search for commands or objects (such as tracks or clips) by name and trigger an action in Pro Tools. This powerful feature lets you search commands and execute them, search tracks clips and tracks to select, search memory locations to recall, search groups to enable or disable and much more. New virtual instruments

Expanding the functionality and versatility of your sound design, Pro Tools Studio includes two brand-new virtual instruments, the GrooveCell and SynthCell. GrooveCell is a new virtual drum machine and sequencer, enabling you to create intricate beats and drum patterns. Helping to optimise your workflow, GrooveCell was designed for speed and inspiration. Not to say that the functionality is limited, GroveCell is both efficient and highly functional, aimed at serious creators who want total creative control over their grooves. Built around a 16-pad layout, GrooveCell has all the parameters you need to tweak single samples or a whole kit simultaneously. Included with GrooveCell is a wide range of sounds to build presets with or you can build your own custom drumkits by simply dragging and dropping your own samples (either MP3, WAV or AIFF formats). Highly versatile, GrooveCell lets you layer up to three samples per-pad with in-depth control over the pitch, envelope, EQ and Distortion. Taking your sound design one step further, GrooveCell includes emulations of the legendary E-Mu SP-1200, Korg Super Percussion and more using Drum Mode.

SynthCell is a modern virtual synth that channels the inspiration of vintage, old-school synth styles to your production. Powered by two oscillators, two multi-mode filters, LFO, envelope, arpeggiator and a wide variety of effects ensures you have a tremendous range of tonal palettes to build your sound from the ground up. Jam-packed with presets, SynthCell can take you through anything from organic, distorted, smooth, chaotic, analog and more with ease.

Complex workflow made easy with SoundFlow

Simply and streamline your workflow with SoundFlow, a state of the art automation platform that reduces complex tasks to a single keystroke. Provided access to over 1,600 macros with commands, your Pro Tools session can be customised entirely to your needs to trigger keyboard shortcuts, MIDI controllers and HID devices. Whether bouncing stems, navigating plugins in large sessions, or triggering complex workflows, SoundFlow saves users significant time and enables them to stay in their creative flow.
