The Intellijel uScale II is a quantizer module that allows you to transform analogue voltage sources from LFOs, sequencers, controllers and CV generators into quantized musical values, allowing you to take any CV source and obtain musical results. A convenient feature of the uScale is that you are able to program real-time, meaning you can edit and change the scale whilst it is in the process of quantizing CV allowing you to keep your creative flow going. Additionally, the uScale is pre-fitted with 5 banks of scales that can also be erased by the user and reprogrammed to create scales of your choice.

Instant Musical Results

Once any of your analog CV sources are patched into the Intellijel uScale II you will instantly receive musical results with its quantize capability perfect for keeping any electronic beat in time. The 12 black and white buttons along the side are made to represent the keys of a piano allowing you to choose your notes and create a scale of your own. The uScale allows you to change notes on the go in real time without the need to stop and play again. This module is a great component for creating beautiful melodic lines and its ability to program real-time makes it perfect as a performance tool.

Pre-fitted Presets & User Presets

The Intellijel uScale is loaded with a numerous amount of preset scales, so if you're not a music theory master than you can still dive straight into this module to create melodic lines. If you are skilled in music theory then you are still able to program in your own scales with the ability to store them. The user is free to erase, modify and program their own scales/banks instead if they wish.

12 buttons with matching dual colour leds for selecting scale notes in real time (and visual feedback of quantizing)
Processes 0-10v (as 1v/oct) in the ‘in’ input
Accepts 0-10v or +-5v on the 'shift' input (jumper selectable) for a shift range of +-12semitones or +-12 scale degrees
Two 0-10v outputs (a and b) with 1v/oct scaling
Output b is a user selectable interval based on the root note on output a. This interval can be chromatic (fixed semitones) or diatonic (interval is within the current scale and the value is based on scale degrees). This interval can be a bipolar value of +-12
Shift has user selectable destinations of note a, b, a+b or the scale root
Shift has user selectable modes of where shifting occurs: before scaling, in scale (diatonic) or post scale (key shifting)
Menu for shifting the scale root manually
Store 12 scales in 12 banks for a total of 144 different user scales
Comes with 5 banks of pre-configures scales
Precision trimmers on pcb for fine tuning and scaling the two outputs
Skiff friendly depth
Uni/bipolar cv switch added to the panel
16bit super low INL error TI DAC which translates to +/-0.0005V
