Key Features
The Aphex 120B Servo Balanced Distribution Amplifier is a servo balanced audio distribution amplifier featuring 1 input and 4 outputs with trim adjustments. The Aphex 120B's servo balanced design ensures it is as transparent as possible. The Aphex 120B features transformerless circuits, which are designed for a flat, wide frequency response, ideal for the distribution of time code and audio. Each output has its own individual amplifier and level control, ensuring if one shorts, the rest are there to keep it active. The Aphex 120B is ideal for amplifying and distributing audio signals or SMPTE time code throughout an audio production facility. Featuring recessed trim adjustments instead of rotary potentiometers, the Aphex 120B ensures levels are not adjusted accidentally, allowing you to set it up and leave. Its compact, rugged construction ensures durability within any workspace.

The Aphex 120B utilises a high impedance servo balanced input circuit, which is adjusted for optimal common-mode rejection. This means that if one output shorts out, the other will make up for it by putting out twice the voltage, compensating for the other, and ensuring optimal performance. Servo balancing compensates for high common-mode voltages, so that headroom isn't sacrificed. The high input impedance allows the bringing of the input signal with minimum loading, allowing several amplifiers to be driven easily from the source.
The individual output amplifiers utilise low impedance so that long lines and capacitive loads can be easily driven with no loss of stability or high frequency response. The level controls for the outputs are intentionally recessed, ensuring you don't accidentally bump into the unit and move levels. This provides you with constant steady levels. Yet the level can still be adjusted easily without using any tools. Additionally, the LED on the front of the unit also acts as a signal present and clip indicator for the input. Using servo balanced outputs ensures that no signal is degraded by losses in the cable.
