DP Meter Pro

Blue Cat DP Meter Pro is a customisable audio level metering tool which combines streamlined workflow with advanced features for professional studios. Ideal for mastering applications or post-production work, the DP Meter Pro lets you monitor the peak, RMS and crest factor levels of your audio. Offering five different scaling methods including the popular K-System scaling made popular by Bob Katz alongside the ability to create your own, DP Meter Pro puts you in charge of your levels to ensure broadcast or streaming regulations are met.

Historic metering information is saved in the Histograms, allowing you to have precise monitoring of the dynamic range of your track over time. Highlighting the evolution of your envelope over time, DP Meter Pro displays everything in a colour-coded and well-labelled interface to make it easy to follow. Real-time information can be saved and printed into your host software as automation curves to recall exact changes in your levels in future projects and sessions.

Regardless of what audio file you are monitoring, DP Meter Pro offers mid/side and stereo modes, allowing you to check levels of only the side channels or both left and right independently. Advanced side-chaining controls and MIDI functionality allows you to monitor your levels against an external trigger, controlling everything via MIDI CC messages. With MIDI CC, the possibilities are endless, from voice-over and ducking to side chain compression, multiple tracks monitoring or dynamic stereo enhancement. It is also possible to control external MIDI hardware (such as synths, MIDI effects), video effects or lighting systems with an audio signal.

Dynamics

Blue Cat Dynamics is a fully-featured all-in-one dynamics processing solution. Multi-functional, Dynamics can be used as a compressor, limiter, gate, expander and waveshaper in one plug-in. Powered by a two-threshold system, you can freely tweak the response of the plug-in to alter the behaviour of the dynamics processing to suit the needs of your audio. Employing multiple filters to control the target frequencies for dynamics processing, you can more accurately control the envelopes of instruments with specific bandwidth from bass guitar to bass drum.

Multiple styles of compression are available from peak and RMS with both VCA and Opto-style compressors available, offering a wider range of tonality and character in your dynamics processing. This coupled with an interface that delivers a variety of monitoring solutions to highlight the envelope and transient response and gain reduction ensures that you are in full control over your dynamics processing for any track or full mix in your project. FreqAnalyst Pro

Blue Cat FreqAnalyst Pro is a single channel frequency analyzer plug-in. Powered by an extremely smooth interpolation algorithm, FreqAnalyst Pro displays your frequency with immense accuracy and resolution to monitor your audio in extreme detail. Encompassing two vital monitoring modes including a spectrum and spectrogram analyzer with a solid or wireframe 2D and 3D waterfall display, you have complete control over how you monitor your track. Three modes are offered for each channel including instant, peak or average response can all be displayed on the same graph and can be saved in any of the four memory slots to make quick comparison between several tracks.

Providing you with output parameters to control other effects in real-time, FreqAnalyst Pro lets you generate envelopes and MIDI messages into your DAW. With the transformation parameters (offset, amount and reverse), you can customize the generation of these parameters and monitor the modifications on the value graphs. Thanks to this unique functionality, you can now control any effect with the pitch of the audio signal: imagine a filter on an instrument controlled by the pitch of another instrument, compression depending on the pitch of the signal and much more.

LinyEQ

The Blue Cat LinyEQ is an eight-band linear-phase EQ plug-in. Optimised for precise frequency adjustments, LinyEQ linear-phase design is perfect for mastering solutions where broad EQ changes need to be made without introducing phase interactions between frequencies, particularly in the low-end. Traditional linear-phase EQs introduce latency as the audio file is pre-rendered through the plug-in for analysis whereas LinyEQ introduces zero latency through the optimised linear-phase kernel, processing the signal in under three milliseconds.

Offering a huge range of gain per band of +/-40dB and an array of filtering shapes, LinyEQ is an extremely versatile plug-in capable of sculpting and shaping your tone in virtually any way. Independent left and right channels and mid/side mode offers expanded functionality for processing stereo sources individually. Increase the perceived loudness of your individual tracks or full mixes, control the dynamics of your audio and protect your output from overshooting to avoid unwanted distortion and peaking, all with one streamlined and powerful plug-in. With transparent frequency response across the full range and lookahead capabilities, Protector is the perfect solution for mix-buss processing.

Although featuring only a small number of controls, Protector offers a variety of different tonalities. Everything from transparent and subtle gain to heavy distortion and pumping is possible to match any style, genre or instrument within your mix. StereoScope Pro

Blue Cat StereoScope Pro is a powerful stereo image analysis tool with 3D visualisation. Ideal for mixing and mastering applications, StereoScope Pro provides you with multiple viewing displays from the Stereo imaging, to a Stereogram with 3D waterfall modes to highlight the intensity of the sound over time. Analysing the stereo image of your track allows you to manipulate the stereo field to ensure it does not compete with over instruments in the same space for a cohesive and balanced mix or master.

The stereo analysis can be controlled in details, and the precise measurement capabilities combined with the zoomable displays let you monitor what is exactly happening. The four memory slots let you store any curve in memory: it helps you make comparisons between several tracks or effects setup very easily. You can compare your mix with other commercial hits.
