The M8X features Yamaha’s GEX action, offering a weighted 88-key feel with polyphonic aftertouch, something rarely found in modern hardware synths. The Expanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP) replicates your M8X as a virtual instrument in your DAW. It lets you edit, arrange and mix sounds on your computer without the hardware. This means you can start ideas on the synth, tweak them on the go in your DAW and bring it all together without conversion or compromise. The USB audio interface (32 out / 6 in) and DAW remote controls make this a central tool in both production and performance workflows.
High-resolution control with touchscreen editing
Every physical control, from knobs and sliders to the Super Knob and touchscreens, works in high resolution. This gives you precise, analogue-like behaviour when shaping sounds. The 7” TFT touchscreen works with 6 display knobs and a new Navigation button for fast, deep editing.
