Classic look and feel, ready for modern performance
The Crumar Seven combines retro charm with today’s stage demands. Its case is inspired by vintage electric pianos from the seventies, complete with a sturdy wooden build, metal legs, and a handle for transport. The structure is lightweight compared to traditional instruments but still feels solid under your hands. The included accessories, such as the leg carry bag and accessory box, make setup and teardown simple. This makes the Seven a reliable choice for regular gigging or studio use, providing a vintage-inspired stage presence without adding bulk.
Nine dedicated sound engines crafted for realism
Instead of relying on samples, the Seven uses physical and algorithmic modelling for each of its nine sound engines. This approach captures the distinct behaviour of electric pianos, offering sounds that respond naturally to your touch. You get reed and tine-based models, electric baby grand, Clavi, two digital EPs, a vibraphone and an acoustic grand.
There is also a sample playback engine for additional flexibility. The Clavi engine includes filter and pickup tabs arranged like the Clavinet D6, and these can be controlled using the preset buttons. Each sound has been designed to reflect the original character of the instrument it models, delivering expression and detail for players who care about authenticity.
Intuitive control with RGB-lit encoders
The front panel uses endless encoders that are backlit with RGB LEDs. These give immediate visual feedback as you adjust parameters. Each knob changes colour depending on its current value, moving from green at lower levels to red at higher levels. This solves a common issue with presets, where physical knob positions do not reflect stored settings.
It keeps your controls clear and consistent on stage, removing the guesswork. This system is paired with a web-based editor, accessible via USB or Wi-Fi, so you can fine-tune effects, filters and EQ settings from a laptop or tablet. The editor and the front panel work together in real time, so adjustments are mirrored across both interfaces.
Flexible built-in effects and sound shaping tools
The Seven includes a wide range of built-in effects to suit different playing styles. Effect slot one includes tremolo, auto-panner, LFO wha-wha and pedal-controlled wha-wha. Slot two offers stereo chorus, flanger, phaser and delay. The delay effect includes stereo spread and ping-pong options. A three-band semi-parametric EQ is available, along with a reverb unit that offers control over decay, diffusion, pre-delay and more.
The amp simulator features models based on popular guitar and bass amps, each with its own EQ and overdrive. A dedicated PAD section blends a virtual analog synth layer with your piano sounds, useful for atmospheric textures or layering during performance. Each section is designed for quick access and efficient control, keeping you focused on playing instead of menu-diving.
