Key Features
The Lambden Audio PPA1 Phono Preamplifier is suited to vinyl listeners connecting turntables to modern audio equipment. Many turntables output a phono-level signal that requires additional amplification before it can be used with mixers, amplifiers, speakers, or audio interfaces. The PPA1 converts this signal to standard line level, making it easier to integrate a turntable into a wide range of listening and recording setups.
Stereo RCA inputs and outputs keep connections simple, while the built-in 1/4" headphone output allows direct monitoring without additional equipment. A dedicated ground connection helps reduce hum when used with compatible turntables, supporting cleaner playback. Finished in a compact enclosure with a black brushed-metal appearance and protective side panels, the PPA1 fits neatly into home audio systems, DJ setups, and recording environments.

The PPA1 converts a phono-level signal into standard line level, allowing turntables to connect with equipment that doesn't include a dedicated phono input. This makes it easy to integrate vinyl playback into amplifiers, mixers, audio interfaces, and recording systems. Whether you're building a home listening setup or transferring records into a digital format, the PPA1 provides the signal conversion required for reliable operation.
Stereo RCA inputs and outputs provide a familiar and straightforward connection format for turntables and audio equipment. Setup is quick, with clearly labelled connections helping you route audio through your system without unnecessary complexity. The compact layout keeps cable management tidy while providing a practical solution for a variety of hi-fi, DJ, and studio applications.
In addition to its line-level outputs, the PPA1 includes a dedicated 1/4" headphone output for direct monitoring. This allows you to listen to your signal without relying solely on connected speakers or external monitoring equipment. It's particularly useful when checking connections, monitoring playback, or incorporating a turntable into a recording workflow where close listening is required.
The PPA1 occupies minimal space while providing the essential connections needed for vinyl playback systems. A ground connection on the rear panel helps reduce unwanted hum when used with compatible turntables, contributing to cleaner audio performance. The black finish blends discreetly with surrounding equipment, while protective side panels help guard the enclosure during transport and everyday use. An included 12V power supply gets you up and running straight away.
Lambden Audio delivers professional-grade audio electronics designed for both studio recording and live performance. Used by musicians, engineers and producers, Lambden Audio products are built to perform reliably in demanding environments.
