High gain voices that cover modern heavy styles
The Blue and Red channels offer a pair of gain structures built for controlled aggression. The Blue Twin Jet voice handles tight rhythm parts with clarity across extended low-tuned instruments. Its attack stays defined even at strong gain settings which suits players who want a firm base for palm-muted passages.
The Red Super High Gain channel then adds further saturation and harmonic density. This makes it well suited to heavier lead lines or dense rhythm layers without losing clarity. Each channel features dedicated Gain, Volume and a three-band EQ so tones can be shaped independently for recording or live use.
Mini toggles that fine-tune feel and saturation
Pre EQ, Cut and Boost switches are placed to give fast control over character. Pre EQ shifts the response before the tube stages to alter bite and presence. Cut reduces top-end aggression for thicker voicing while Boost increases saturation for heavier lead work.
These small toggles create meaningful changes to both channels which helps match the module to different playing styles or mixes. They also keep the rig simple by reducing reliance on external pedals for tone shaping.
Tube-driven depth for compact rigs
Two 12AX7 valves sit at the centre of the module and bring the harmonic profile associated with the original Überschall head. They respond well to pick attack at lower gain while maintaining stability when pushed.
This tube front end suits direct recording through Synergy racks with impulse responses and also works effectively with smaller power amps for rehearsal setups. Many players seek the depth of valve saturation at controlled volume levels so this approach meets those needs in a more manageable format.
Adaptable switching that keeps hardware relevant
The cathode select switch provides three common biasing options which change low-end shape and input sensitivity. It arrives set to the designer’s preferred position but also supports experimentation to match different instruments and cabinets.
A Dual or Single mode switch enables the module to function in older Egnater and Randall models that access only one channel per slot. This flexibility helps maintain existing rigs while still adding the detailed high-gain performance associated with the Überschall design.
