Between the Buried and Me is a modern progressive metal band that calls for a versatile range of sounds, from pristine cleans to full-on saturation. The Ibanez PWM10 is the perfect guitar to cover this tonal range. Paul Waggoner's own Mojotone PW Hornet pickups are designed to provide a wide range of tones including warm cleans, chunky rhythms, and sustaining leads for intensive shredding. The pickups are voiced to remain clear, even when fully saturated, so you'll hear every note of your complex chord voicings and articulate riffs. A 3-way selector and separate coil-tap switch gives additional single-coil tones for enhanced versatility; perfect for progressive metal.
The PWM10 features the Ibanez S-Series body shape with sleek contours and effortless top-fret access. Paul specified a slightly-thicker 44mm body to enhance the ash tonewood's sustain and resonance, along with giving a re-assuring weight and balance. The body is finished with a sleek translucent stain for a modern aesthetic.
The Wizard III neck is thin and flat, with its 400mm radius jatoba fingerboard. Along with the 24 jumbo frets, this neck gives the PWM10 a fast and effortless playability to enable the most challenging of playing techniques.
A double-locking Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge gives access to extreme pitch-shifting effects, safe in the knowledge that your guitar will return accurately to pitch. The lower profile gives greater player comfort while the locking stud function is perfect for altered tunings and enhancing the tuning stability when the tremolo is not required.
