Class-A buffering restores lost tone
The Fortin Artery uses discrete Class-A buffers to preserve the clarity, attack and full frequency response of your guitar signal across large pedalboards and long cable runs. Without proper buffering, multiple true bypass pedals and extended cabling can gradually reduce high-end detail and overall signal strength through capacitance buildup. The Artery converts the signal from high impedance to low impedance, preventing tonal degradation and helping restore the natural brightness and dynamics of the instrument. The result is a clearer, more immediate playing response with improved consistency throughout the entire signal chain.
Flexible three-way signal splitting
With three outputs available, the Artery provides exceptional flexibility for advanced guitar and studio setups. Players can split their signal between multiple amplifiers for huge stereo or wet/dry rigs, feed recording interfaces for direct re-amping applications or dedicate separate outputs for tuners and gate triggering systems. Unlike passive splitters that can weaken or colour the signal, the Artery maintains strong signal integrity across every output. This makes it ideal for professional live rigs and recording environments where tonal consistency and routing flexibility are essential.
Perfect companion for Zuul gates
The Artery was specifically designed to work seamlessly with Fortin Zuul noise gates. By sending one clean signal directly to the Zuul’s KEY input and routing another output through the main pedal and amp chain, the gate reacts only to the actual guitar performance rather than unwanted gain-stage noise. This results in much faster, smoother and more natural gating behaviour, particularly in extremely high-gain rigs. The remaining output can still be used for additional applications such as tuner feeds or direct recording paths, giving players huge versatility without additional signal splitters.
Built for demanding modern rigs
Built in the USA using premium-grade materials and rugged construction, the Artery is engineered for dependable long-term use in professional environments. Its exceptionally low 4mA current draw and wide 9V-24V DC operating range make it easy to integrate into almost any pedalboard power system. Integrated MOSFET reverse polarity protection helps prevent accidental damage if the wrong power supply orientation is connected. Compact, transparent and highly versatile, the Fortin Artery solves multiple signal-routing problems while helping your entire rig sound clearer, stronger and more consistent.
