A storied history, a bright future

At turn of the 60's the Fender Jazz Bass was born. After the domination of the P Bass throughout the 50's, Fender decided to extend their bass range to feature the more stylish and deluxe Jazz Bass. With its new pickup design, the Jazz bass offered much more tonal versatility than the Precision bass. You didn't just get a single sound, you got an entire palette of bass tones.
