The Carl Martin Greg Howe Signature Lick Box Overdrive Pedal combines Greg's unique high gain with powerful and crunch tones. Featuring a dedicated High Gain channel which delivers plenty of tight bottom-end and crisp, sizzling highs, a dynamic Crunch channel with an emphasis on the mid frequencies and minimal compression, and an astounding 12dB boost channel. The Lick Box is not just a pedal based on Greg Howe's signature tones. Inside the rugged cast metal enclosure and its simplistic aesthetics, you'll find circuitry that allows you to utilise the channels to create a truly immense array of sounds. You can use the High Gain or Crunch channels independently and adjust the tone for each one with its dedicated Tone control, and also add up to 12dB of crystal clean Boost to either channel, or you can switch on both gain channels and use them together. The Carl Martin Lick Box is not just a device that provides Greg's exceptional signature tones. Beneath the rugged cast metal enclosure of the Lick Box features the unique circuitry that enables such extensive sonic exploration. Whilst providing you with separate High Gain and Crunch channels, which can be used individually and even apply a +12dB boost to each, the Lick Box also allows you to combine the channels together to open up even more tonal options. With the High Gain channel first in the chain, the Crunch voicing is able to overrule the High Gain whilst adding some extra decibels to your sound. This results in a focused and controlled mid-range with marginally less lows and highs that perfectly cuts through a mix. With the +12dB of clean Boost available to add to this, the Lick Box helps you achieve those thick, warm leads that are drenched in rich tone and incredible sustain.
