Key Features
The Cort GB Short Scale Bass gives you big tone in a compact, comfortable design. With its 30″ scale length, you’re getting a warm, punchy response that’s incredibly easy to play, especially if you prefer a softer feel or shorter reach. A lightweight poplar body keeps long rehearsals and gigs comfortable, while the roasted maple neck adds stability, smoothness, and a fast feel under your fingers. Whether you’re practicing at home or performing live, it’s a bass that feels instantly inviting.
A Powersound humbucker delivers a mix of thick lows, clear mids, and crisp highs, giving you plenty of versatility from one pickup. Paired with the Markbass MB-1 preamp, you can shape your sound with precision thanks to its powerful three-band EQ and three-way selector switch. From funky low-end warmth to bright, articulate slap tones, this short-scale bass punches well above its size and price. Finished in a bold Forest Green gloss, it’s a standout instrument that brings colour, character, and creativity to any bassist’s collection.

The 30″ scale makes this bass an absolute joy to play, giving you lower string tension, an easier reach, and a smoother overall feel. If you’re moving up from guitar, have smaller hands, or just prefer a more relaxed playing style, you’ll immediately notice how approachable it is. Even with its shorter scale, the bass still maintains a strong, punchy response that sits confidently in any mix.
The roasted maple neck and fretboard give you a noticeably stable and refined playing surface. Roasting removes excess moisture from the wood, improving durability and giving the neck a sleek, fast-moving character you’ll appreciate during long sessions. Combined with a gentle C-shape profile and matte finish, it’s a neck that feels familiar from the first moment you pick it up.
The Powersound humbucker brings the best of both worlds: warm rounded lows and bright, defined highs. Whether you’re playing smooth soul lines or need a more aggressive edge for rock, this pickup responds with clarity and authority. Its voicing suits a wide range of genres, making it ideal for players who want a single-pickup bass that doesn’t compromise on flexibility.
The onboard Markbass MB-1 preamp adds serious tonal control, letting you tailor your sound with bass, middle, and treble adjustments. The three-way pickup function selector opens up even more tonal combinations, allowing series, split, and parallel styles of response from the humbucker. It’s a powerful system that ensures your tone stays articulate, expressive, and ready for the stage or studio.
