The Gretsch G6609TG Player's Edition Broadkaster features a laminated maple body, with a chambered construction and spruce centre block. This chambered body provides a lightweight guitar that is perfect for gigging musicians who play quite frequently. A pair of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured, which allow the natural sound to be projected acoustically and provide a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s era. Finally, a double-cutaway design allows players to easily reach the higher frets for full access across the whole fingerboard.
The Gretsch G6609TG is equipped with a pair of new U.S made Full’Tron pickups, that deliver a full-spectrum of sonic range with a growl, along with that classic Gretsch chime, balance and brilliance. Players can easily shape their sound using the independent volume and tone controls, as well as a three-position toggle switch for selecting different pickup selections.
Like many guitars from Gretsch, the G6609TG Player's Edition Broadkaster features an Adjusto-Matic bridge, delivering a great tone and precise intonation with its six individually adjustable string saddles. Combined with the Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, the bridge slightly "rocks" with the movement of the strings- reducing friction and adding tuning stability.
