Solid Mahogany Top & Laminated Mahogany Body
The Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat guitar features a solid mahogany top that offers durability and great resonance. The mahogany top delivers rich characterised warmth, a focused, woody, punchy mid-range, and a thick well-defined tone with plenty of depth and complexity that will accommodate most playing styles. Mahogany also contains its rich warmth, but is well-balanced with a bite of its own. The mahogany top is accompanied by laminated mahogany back and sides that delivers warmth, but not as rich and as resonant as its solid top. However the laminated back and sides offer extreme durability, and is far less susceptible to cracking. Mahogany is used a lot in the acoustic world because it is relatively economical, attractive, easy to work with, and resonant.
Maple Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard
The Hellcat's neck is constructed from maple, offering an extremely bright, precise tone and tight lows. A maple neck projects a clear bright sound, with great sustain and plenty of bite. The Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat guitar is based on Tim Armstrong's beat-up, old sixties acoustic and is a beautifully designed instrument with a full host of decorative features. These features include stylish pearl Hellcat fingerboard markers on the third, fifth, and seventh fret, while a pair of skulls stand mightily on the 12th fret. Other ornate details include a ruby red satin finish, seventies style Fender sound-hole rosette, and vintage style machineheads with aged white plastic buttons complemented by a signature Tim Armstrong headstock.

The Fender Time Armstrong Hellcat FSR is based on Armstrong's own classic instrument. featuring modern appointments including high-quality on-board electronics. Tim Armstrong is a Grammy-winning founder of the U.S punk band Rancid, Armstrong is also a respected producer and indie label owner. As a song-writer Armstrong has always turned to his old Fender concert style acoustic for inspiration. Fender and Tim Armstrong have come together to create this limited addition, special and unique guitar for the players pleasure.
