Full Description
View Full DescriptionAcoustic look and feel with modern control
The VAD316 uses shallow wooden shells to create a familiar acoustic setup with a more compact footprint. You get a full 18'' kick, chrome-finished toms, and responsive heads across the kit. Despite its authentic look, it's powered by a fully digital module with wireless app control, giving you the best of both acoustic and electronic worlds.
Flagship-level sounds in a compact module
At the heart of the kit is the V31 module, built on the same sound engine as Roland’s top-tier 7 Series. It includes over 1,000 instruments and more than 70 professionally designed preset kits. DW-sampled drums and advanced modelling give you dynamic tone with every stroke, and you can expand the kit with new sounds via Roland Cloud.
Smart tools for faster progress
Whether you're working on timing or trying to build speed, the onboard coaching tools are ready to help. Features like Time Check, Quiet Count, and the Blast Beat Trainer are built directly into the module—no extra gear required. The Phrase Trainer and Stroke Monitor make practice more focused and trackable, especially for developing technique and control.
Flexible recording and playback options
The VAD316 makes it easy to integrate with your existing studio or live setup. Multi-channel USB audio lets you record up to 30 channels at once, and the built-in SD card slot supports song playback and real-time recording. Whether you’re layering new sounds or tracking full performances, this kit’s I/O options have you covered.
