The Fender amp’s incredible tones are delivered via a classic 12’’ Jenson C12Q speaker, offering a well-rounded tone with plenty of midrange bite. While its straightforward tonal qualities make it perfect for a wide range of music, the tight low-end and bright high-end makes it ideal for rock and blues players. The speaker also offers and aggressive midrange and an edgy overdrive, allowing players to push their tones to the max.
Built to offer high-quality tones and high-powered projection, the ’64 Custom Deluxe Reverb Amp is designed with a range of powerful electronics to ensure players aren’t left wanting more. Its pair of 6V6 Groove Tube output tubes offers a low output which distorts easily, providing rich harmonics and a warm, soft response. The 12AX7 and 12AT7 preamp tubes work well together, delivering an excellent combination of smooth, sweet tones with a high to mid gain and plenty of attack. The Fender Custom Amp features a normal channel and a bright channel, with independent volume and EQ controls for excellent tone shaping. The spring reverb and tremolo works on both channels, allowing players to add extra layers of depth to their playing.
One of the leading factors behind the creation of the ’64 Custom Deluxe Reverb amp was the major success of the 1993 reissue of the Blackface Deluxe Reverb amp. The Fender ’64 Custom is built with historical accuracy and a great attention to detail, ensuring players receive the same care and feel as the original. Whilst the Custom Deluxe Reverb is wired in the vintage method, it still features thoughtful tweaks to accommodate the modern guitarist.
As well as featuring the perfect sound and projection, the Custom Deluxe Reverb Amp is complete with a full host of features to maintain its classic Fender status and quality. Its lightweight pine enclosure is covered with extra-heavy black textured vinyl, and equipped with a lightly aged silver grille cloth to create an incredible aesthetic which will look great on any stage.
